7Artisans have released a fully-manual 4mm F2.8 circular fisheye lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras like the Sony A6400.
The lens has no electrical contacts and is fully manual. The 4mm focal length is roughly 6mm full-frame equivalent with a 225o field of view.
It’s constructed of 10 elements in eight groups with a seven-blade aperture diaphragm, and has a minimum focusing distance of 8.5mm (.3β). There’s also a de-clicked aperture ring.
Richard Wong takes a closer look at the 7Artisans 4mm F2.8 lens in this video.
The lens is made of metal but still weighs in at just 201g (7oz).
Along with Sony E-mount it’s also available for: Canon EOS-M, Fujifilm X, and Micro Four Thirds. It can also be paired with DJI drones.
The 7Artisans 4mm F2.8 fisheye lens is available to purchase for $149 direct from the companyβs website, where you can also find further details and sample images.

Make sure you are wearing clean shoes! 225 degrees will get your feet in the shot π
I owned and played with a Sigma 8mm full frame lens that was “only” 180 degree field of view, and I managed to photograph my feet several times.
