Sigma have announced three new full-frame lenses that have been designed exclusively for Sony FE-Mount as well as L-Mount mirrorless cameras.
The lenses announced include the: 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN, 35mm f/1.2 DG DN and 45mm f/2.8 DG DN.
But not only did Sigma announce the new mirrorless lenses, they also announced a new full-frame mirrorless L-mount camera called the FP (See DPReview article for more details).
Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art
Sigma is calling their new 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN Art lens the ‘definitive lens for astrophotography’ and emphasizes its ‘outstanding’ resolution to the edges of the frame, achieved in part thanks to the inclusion of low dispersion elements and Sigma’s Nano Porous Coating (NPC).
The lens is splash and dustproof and features a rear filter holder. The lens is constructed of 18 elements in 13 groups, has 11 rounded aperture blades, a minimum aperture of f/22, a minimum focusing distance of 28cm (11.0in.), measures φ85.0mm×131.0mm (φ3.3in. × 5.2in), and weighs in at: 795g (28.0oz).
