SIGMA 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS Sports & 15mm F1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye Art Lenses Announced

Sigma has announced two new lenses for Sony E-mount and the L-mount.

There’s the super telephoto 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS Sports lens and a slightly wider 15mm F1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye Art lens.

The 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS Sports lens will cost $2,999.00 US or £2,779 in the UK. The 15mm F1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye Art lens will cost $1,999.00 US or £1,859.00 in the UK.

Both lenses are available to pre-order already and will start shipping in March 2024.

SIGMA 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS I Sports

The all-new SIGMA 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS Sports lens has been designed exclusively for full-frame mirrorless cameras.

This compact and lightweight lens features SIGMA’s high-speed HLA motor and OS2 algorithm, delivering fast and precise autofocus with 5 stops of effective stabilization.

The lens is weather sealed and measures φ107.6mm x 236.6mm / φ4.2in. x 9.3in. It weighs in at 1,365g / 48.1oz. (E-mount), making it significantly smaller and lighter than the previous SIGMA 500mm F4 DG OS HSM Sports for DSLR cameras.

SIGMA 15mm F1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye I Art

The SIGMA 15mm F1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye Art lens is the world’s first full-frame F1.4 diagonal fisheye lens.

It features a bright F1.4 aperture and 180° angle-of-view, as well as a host of useful features for astrophotographers.

There is a built-in rear filter holder for gel-type ND filters, a lens heater retainer that prevents heat strips from slipping over the front of the lens, and a unique manual focus lock switch that disables the focus ring. 

The lens is weather-sealed and offers an aperture ring that can click or rotate smoothly. There are a total of 21 elements in 15 groups and the minimum focusing distance is 38.5cm / 15.2in.

The lens measures φ104.0mm x 159.9mm / φ4.1in. x 6.3in and weighs 1,360g / 48.0oz (E-mount).
