Welcome to my memory card guide for the Sony ZV E10 II mirrorless camera.
If you are unsure which memory card the ZV E10 II supports, which card to use for video, or which are the best cards to buy then this guide is for you.
FAQ’s
Before we jump into this article here are some frequently asked questions…
SD/SDHC/SDXC UHS-II and UHS-I memory cards are supported.
At minimum you’ll probably want to use 64GB for photos and 128GB for video, but needs will vary.
If you shoot a lot of continuous burst then an SDXC UHS-II card would be best. For video a V90 rated card is required if you wish to shoot 4k 60fps (600Mbps).
The official kit from Sony does not include a memory card. Some resellers might however include one as an extra.
No. It has a single memory card slot.
Which Memory Card Is Best for Photography?
If you shoot a lot of sports and action then a fast SDXC UHS-II card would be recommended to allow you to clear the buffer quickly and continue shooting. If you don’t shoot many bursts then you’ll be fine with a slower card.
I’ve not had the opportunity to test my growing collection of cards in the ZV E10 II yet, but here are the performance figures from my Sony A6700 Memory Card tests.

Which Memory Card Is Best for Video?
The Sony ZV E10 II is capable of recording video at up to 4k 60fps (600Mbps). If you wish to maximise its capabilities then you will require a UHS-II memory card that is V90 Rated for video.
It’s also best to stick with SDXC cards which are 64GB and larger as this will avoid your files being broken into 4GB chunks.
What Size Memory Card Is Best for Photography?
For photography we would recommend a 64 GB or larger card. If you shoot a lot of action then you might want to go with 128 GB.
What Size Memory Card Is Best for Videography?
This will depend on the video format that you are shooting in and how long you wish to record for.
If you shoot 4k 60fps (600Mbps) with a 128GB card you will be able to record for approximately 25 minutes.
But if you shoot 4k 60fps (100Mbps) you can record for approximately 2 hours 10 minutes.
