I have some experience with bee-eaters in the Middle East as well as Botswana,
south africa(carmine bee-eaters) on the banks of the Zambezi......
just one question, did the dragonfly fly into the mouth of the perched bee-eater as
you took the shot,or had the bee-eater already caught the dragonfly and it escaped
from it‘s beak at the moment you shot the image........it has me intrigued..??
I have seen similar with bee-eaters releasing their catches momentarily but not so
vividly as your image shows.
