Cheers Ray. Yes, that has come out very well. I've not been posting so much, just too busy, but a much appreciated comment.

I took delivery of my Louwa 85mm f5.6 1:1 to 2:1 Macro lens yesterday and together with
Meike extension tubes am getting from 1:1 to 3:1 magnification....its a very well constructed and
sharp lens after some initial tests at home.

I'll be interested to see how you get on. The DOF will be tiny!

Yes, it is probably not practical to use anything above x2 in the field but should be good for
home use at x3 under controlled conditions with my powered slide rail.
I have also tried my Nikon 200mm f4 macro lens on my Sony A1 with the Nikon to Sony adaptor ring i recently received. It works fine at 250mm working distance lens to subject.
The Nikon to Sony adapter ring i bought is the "Vello Mk1220" it does not haver electrical contacts but
with my 200mm f4 Nikon lens gives full manual control and camera functions when using the Sony A1 such as peaking etc....even when i use it with my D850 i use it in manual so now i can use it on my Sony negates having to carry a bag of cameras and lenses when i go out.
