I have a wee but an' ben on the Columbia River on the western edge of Oregon. It is a humble place with a magnificent view. This is of the West Mooring Basin of Astoria on a clear and starry night where I got lucky with a camera. Dead center in the distance is the mouth of the Columbia where it empties into the Pacific on the dreaded Columbia Bar, home to many sunken ships. It is reputed to be the worst crossing in the world.
