I used to photograph in Infrared using a converted Canon SLR, but I was so pleased with my first Sony that I decided to get a Sony A7R which has been converted to full spectrum. Now I can now actually SEE in infrared, which is a godsend! No more taking the photograph merely to see what the camera sees. This is from my first outing with it, taken with an 850nm filter.
