Birds Great White Egret

I had the extreme fortune to find this fabulous bird as we were heading back to the car a couple of weeks back. Not another photographer in sight either. Though they are becoming more widespread in the UK, they are still quite rare generally, and real pleasure to see. This is a complete sequence, with some duplicates left out, from lift off 60 yards away to landing 40 yards from me. Cropped in of course and shot in crop mode, no focus issues as ever. Superb bird.

Thanks. I do love them too. I am just missing the Purple Heron from the Egrets that frequent the UK, but that's mainly because we might get 2 or 3 a year.

Jeff. Not quite, he walked off up a side stream, out of view I did around 40 shots though.
