Seals and Pups today...

We had an unexpected visit from my daughter and her friend today, and so we took them to Horsey Gap to see the Seal Pups, as pupping is now well underway, with 447 pups being the official count today. These shots are all taken from behind the rope on the dunes, so official safe distance, though some were high up the beach, and so close anyway. Adorable, endearing creatures.

wow the pup's fur is almost like that of a dog compared to the adult seals!

Yep, the pup with the mum cuddling it had only been born about an hour before we arrived, hence the wet fur, but the others aren't much older. They only have this downy fluff for a month before they start getting the finer fur of the adults.
