Night Photography at RHS Bridgewater Garden

This was not the easiest of subjects to photograph, with trees largely devoid of leaves and brightly illuminated at the base but only dimly at the top. However, I was very pleased with the performance of my equipment. The viewfinder was very bright and showed more than I could see by eye, and much better than an SLR. Although I didn't use a tripod there was never any sign of camera shake. The photo of the multicoloured trees was taken at ISO 12800 but after processing in ON1 NoNoise there is no trace of noise.

The garden is illuminated until the end of the year.

The tree was illuminated by a light at the bottom, but I removed it in post-processing as it was very distracting.
