I posted some shots of a Red tailed Hawk yesterday and to say I was happy with them would be an understatement.. anyway in total I came across 3 Hawks the one I posted was the 3rd one, but I took some shots of one that was a very good distance away, I’d spotted him as I was driving on the highway so pulled onto the hard shoulder and tried some shots,I never really expected them to be of any use to be honest because of the distance between him and me. I was on the hard shoulder of a 4 lane highway heading south and was on the north side in a tree one farmer’s field away from the highway. If I was to guess how far away he was I would have to say at least 200 yards
