I need this lens :)

I need this lens :)
I have thousands of shots with the 300 2.8 lens on a77ii , a99ii and on a7iii and a9 mk1 and seriously the results rarely disappoint and when its has gone wrong its me that is at fault , its been over looked by most but for me I could buy the 400 2.8 but I can not justify it . The plus with the 300 is you can crop like crazy and its tack sharp in most lighting, you can pre set focus points and there is a rear end polarizer filter you can drop in and spin to adjust results, its focus speed is almost as fast as 200-600 e-mount on a7iii and a9 mk1, most of my shots are heavy crops and yes the 300 is nice to have along side the 200-600 fe

Cheers. Yes I've got my eye on a couple. Most are from Japan, which isn't an issue really. There's one in Derby, but I think he's asking a bit too much, even though it is immaculate. There's also a cheap one, but it has fungus. I suspect it's difficult to get cleaned, so not worth it.

just checking Kev I have the sony 300 2.8 ssm mk1 that is the one I use for most of the bird and tiger shots and as shots of tiger above. there are only 2 I can find on ebay and they are both mk2 which is good one in spain and 1 in uk
eBay item number:

May be you are looking at minolta 300 2.8 either apo or hsm version I have the apo as well and I think you will find the minolta 300 apo. That is the real early one difficult to settle on camera although pictures are great, I have the 400 4.5 hsm which is a lot more settled on camera and excellent picture quality Gary
