A little noisy in the foreground though. Did you raise the shadows significantly in post-processing? Or is that just the limitation of our APSC sensor?

I was going to say I have no idea where this is but you have kindly put where it is so thank you for that.
I want to get back there as Port Arthur had me in goose bumps going through there and I want to go again.
As I want to be more relaxed the next time. Then go hunting for the little 40 Spotted Pardalote.

Probably a bit of both, it was much darker than it looks. I tried a bit of light painting with the torch on the foreground but it took too much focus away from the subject so I settled on this. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the comment. You have to go to Bruny Island to be confident of getting the 40 spots, which is not a big deal as long as you can get booked on the ferry.

Thank you so much as I know if I had seen these before other birds these would be my number one birds.
So I will start to sow the seeds into the wifes brain so she thinks it was her idea and I am the one who get the reward.
If I get to see one I will fill my memory card as I just gotta get a lot of shots of them.
