Birds Horned Grebe from yesterday's outing

After I was done shooting that big bunch of grass snakes, we went to a different location close by to see if we could get some photos of the Horned Grebe's. And we did. Oddly enough, I found it hard to get that "perfect" photo despite conditions being rather good. Evening light, shooting away from the sun. Oh well.

Well done and number 2 for me.
It looks like a hard bird to get a shot of as the eye on this one really blends in well with the head on it.
So this has to make it hard to get it fully right all the time with this one I think.

What an unusual looking Grebe! Much more interesting than the usual sorts! Just beautiful colors..... Are they seen only in Sweden?

It's not only seen in Sweden. In some areas it's a frequent visitor during breeding season here in Sweden, while in other parts it's never seen. I guess we're lucky in my area to have a few spots actually!
