Birds Great Spotted Woodpeckers - Through the Window

We've had a pair of great spotted woodpeckers visiting the garden to feast on fat balls and peanuts. We hoped that they would successfully breed and it looks like they have, as today they brought their young offspring with them. So far we've seen a young male and female. Here are a few shots of mum feeding her new boy. Unfortunately shot through the window again! I could probably clean these up a little more but they are just straight out of the camera for now. I set this chunky perch up specifically for the woodpeckers and it appears to be working well.

Superb Tim. We have one visit occasionally. I can't shoot through our windows with the RIV, it just shows every flaw.

Cheers Kev. I've not tried with the a7RIV yet but no issues with the a7IV or a1. I guess it comes down to the glass. Ours are double glazed but pretty old.

Thanks Iain! The perch is less than 10 meters from our window so that definitely helps. Some of these shots are uncropped and some just a very minor crop.

Yeah ours are only 5 years old, but the glass isn't very good IMO. Thankfully I can sneak shots from the garage
