The chapel is a grade I listed building.
The large variation in brightness was a problem. I exposed for the windows, but this meant that the interior was very underexposed, although not lacking in detail. I increased the exposure in ON1 and used the haze reduction tool to prevent the windows from becoming burned out.
This technique is only possible with RAW files, not jpegs.
