Birds Pelican in flight

[Ralph]

I have been trying to get these in flight shots to the level of some here as I feel they are better than the average photographers elsewhere.
And I feel I am getting closer and closer to where they are and better than some on disgracebook bird pages.
Though I know they are still not fully there though I am quite happy with my progress with them.

Thanks you for saying this as it is good to hear that it hasn't been a waste of time.

How close were you to that mate?

I was about 10 meters or so away even with the 400mm lens I still had to roll the zoom back in to fit it in the screen right.
