Thanks Tim , only around 10 the day I went Tim , I dont chase rarities per se and never go on the first day or so as its usually chaotic with birders and photographers and I dont want to contribute to potentially disturbing the bird which is already in a strange environment . If they hang around for a few days then I go and take my chance , I have missed out on quite a few rarities in the UK over the years but the wildlife always comes first .

Sounds like a great approach Steve. I forget where I saw it now but I recall one photo of a hoopoe in the UK surrounded by probably 80 odd photographers. I've only photographed one once and that was in Tenerife, unfortunately it was nibbling on a cigarette butt so not the nicest of images!
