Lovely portraits Bob.

Bob, I really like the contrast of your examples of your work. Contrast between color and BW photos. I viewed your photos this morning and I have to admit I have been thinking about the BW subjects all day. I am new to this forum and not sure of all the rules. Your BW photos just scream at me what is the story. The story of the people and the story of how you interacted with them to get the photos. If the point of the photos was to elicit an emotion from a viewer it worked for me.

Thanks, normally I think we should be posting images taken with a Sony Alpha camera but I these I thought would show my past work a give some context to my work, even though they were shot with other camera systems.
All of these were taken for different work projects, so the subjects came with the job. As to the image creation on all of these it was up to me to interpret what the client needed, other times it was a collaboration with an art director and luckily a very few times only what the client insisted I shoot. Most of the time no matter the job I would try to shoot something for myself and the subject and not just the AD concept.

Some solid work! Welcome!

I really like the miner picture.. it tells a story of grittiness and hard work.
It also brings back memories of when I was a coal miner back in England…
All are excellent..

I am totally crap at people photography but that said I know what I like.
So well done on these all I like what you have done on the lot of them.
