Pets Playing at the off-leash dog park

This was one of those occasions where I thought, "I wonder what the camera sees that I don't."
It wasn't an attempt to get a great shot, rather, an unplanned press of the shutter to see what would happen. Not being into dogs, I had no idea what to expect, and this was quite a surprise.

These dogs were having a ball, or so I thought as I watched them flying by. Their owners were watching, unperturbed, as these two frolicked in what I took to be harmless play - until I reviewed the pictures.

My 35kg wolfhound lurcher courses other dogs. It looks alarming, but my wife's 8kg terrier takes him on and rules the roost. Only they know the rules.

Alarming indeed.
I'm getting the impression that dogs in motion should never be viewed frozen in time.

This poor old gal seems to be hard of hearing, and I guess her eyesight is not any better. I greet her every day, but she only responds when she happens to be within a couple of meters of the fence when I pass by. Then she runs over and wants to be pet. But when she's up on the porch, 15 meters from the fence, she's oblivious to my presence.
