I recently was able to capture the full moon ( almost full ) as it descended behind Mt Whitney in the Eastern Sierras. I've tried several times to get this but usually the weather gets in the way. This time I got lucky, the smoke from all the fires around California obscured the mountains several days before I took this and several days afterword's.
Sony A7R3 w/ Sony FE 200-600 mm G
ISO 100, f/11, 1/80th sec exposure at 335 mm.
I wanted to try capturing it further away so I could use the lens at 600 mm for a larger moon but I was afraid the smoke would make it to hazy so I got closer to the mountains.
