I'm on an unexpected trip, with only my 24-105 F4. I had expected to be doing only indoor shoots on this tip.
Early this morning, my sister offered to take me birding. Here's a fledgling Great Horned Owl.
The image above is a 167% crop.
When I arrived in town, I stopped in at a local store to get an SSD drive to make space on my laptop. As I passed the photo counter, on a whim, I asked if they had a Sony 50 mm 1.2 GM, and they found one at another one of their stores just 15 minutes away.
Since this trip will involve lots of candid, indoor, available-light family photos, I leapt at the chance, scooted over to the other store and picked it up.
Just to see what would happen, I swapped in the 50 mm and got this.
That's a 250% crop from this original.
I had wondered if I'd feel constrained by a 50 mm. It looks like this one on an A1 may have more to give than I anticipated.
