Rather poor rainy conditions, the badgers were very skittish so silent shutter only which limited ISO to 25600 and down to 1/15 second SS. Would have preferred better lighting but artificial lights around the hide unfortunately seemed pretty dim.

that is pretty clean considering the iso. thanks for sharing!

Nice work Mark, especially at 1/15! Glad that they made an appearance.

Not bad at all at those settings!

Thanks all. Yes I don't think the IQ would win any prizes but thought people would be interested what effect such a high ISO and low SS had. Took the A7r4 along thinking I could change bodies and compare results but the badgers were so nervous any sound drove them away. Incidentally at this ISO, Topaz Denoise A1 didn't really help much which was a surprise. I don't think the software could tell the noisy subject from the background.

Thanks Tim. Yes four turned up and came around a few times. Although maybe they were different badgers each time so maybe there were more!

Featured on Countryfile last week (27/12/20) at Tewin Orchard - but they had much better lights! (BBC's extra camera lights?)
