They are both great, but if I have to compare, I chose the first: because the second is specifically the railing, and the first includes a lot more.

Thanks Thad, always good to hear what others think. While I prefer the second, I am drawn to the first as I like the red pillars at either end of the frame. But I do like the railings, it was what drew my attention in the first place and compelled me to take the shot.
