I am a true country boy and me head would be looking up in wonderment at these building that you have posted so well.

Thanks Ralph, the sky line in New York City certainly is impressive - with a great collection of modern and classic architecture. Certainly lots to look at and photograph.
 
Very nice set. I like the contrast with older buildings, even the one where just a little brickwork is showing.

Thanks Thad. Yes, I really like the details in some of the older buildings. Not posted here, but in a shot I posted earlier you can see the individual bricks in the Chrysler Building. Amazing to think they had bricklayers working at those heights.
 
Another shot of the Empire State Building, this time from close up. For the eagle eyed, there is a bird and a plane in this shot - but alas, no superman.
Can someone identify the bird species and the airline ;)
As an aside, for those old enough to remember the 50's TV series Superman, the facade of this building always reminds me of the 'Daily Planet' building.
