Birds Shy Heathwren

On this day it was wet at times and making it a very overcast day so not the best conditions.
I showed a lady the way to get out to where these were which was a little over an hours drive from home.
The plus is that she has not got this bird on her list.
We did stop along the way to get other birds as well but our Target bird the Shy Heathwren was seen and got.
This made her day and I was so pleased to be the one that got her out there to get it.
Though the little bugger stay down low and near the back of the low bush.

These would be one of our zippiest birds we have. The last time I was out there getting them they seemed to be more easy going.
This time they until that last one would stop then was gone and most times you could see what was as you were tying to get focus on it.
But as it has been said if it was always easy everyone would be out doing this.
My 1st try at them 2 years almost to the day my shots were bad and really bad at that.
I am happy with this lot but I might try again another day.
But just a little rain and it is dangerous to be out there as you slid all over the place and we had a little rain and the track was getting wet in patches.
So it is all in the timing to go out there.
