We've snapped a Tawny owl in the garden on the security cam a few times late at night. Luckily last night he/she visited just after 10pm so I was able to grab a couple of shots with the help of the little light that we had left at that time. I don't normally process a great deal but I did throw these through DeNoise just to see how they would come out. I had to boost the exposure a little too.

Cheers Kev! I was definitely chuffed to see him, grabbing the shots was a bonus. The blackbirds were making a right racket when he was about, so I'll be listening out for them more now.

Nice results Tim! De-noise tools are an absolute godsend nowadays.

Cheers Chris! I try not to use it if I can help it but these definitely needed a little extra work.

If you ever dust off your a6400, you'll find that the denoise is essential to making those photos pop. My only problem with the de-noise I use (ON1) is that it over-sharpens some details like feathers.

Back again over the weekend. Looks like they had eaten recently.

Turns out our tawny has an owlet :)

This was taken late last night. They were making a right racket.

Then I went out this evening to feed the birds and could hear him calling but couldn't see him. So I grabbed my camera and had a look around and finally spotted him half asleep in an oak tree.
