A few shots using the AF extension tubes (10mm and 16mm) with a Sony 50mm lens.

The close working distance resulted in our cat, Misty, licking the lens after this shot.

What extension tubes are you using? How does using them compare to your macro lens?

Nicely done. Very hard to control DOF with tubes.

I am using tubes from Amazon found here. They actually include contacts to allow AF and looks like I could get more and stack them all. The magnification is better (1:1) with the macro lens and the working distance is a little further back than using the tubes. Other than that it was similar.

Thank you. I've used tubes before with my Pentax gear but it was all manual focus. These tubes are a bit better allowing AF while taking lots of shots.

I have used extension tubes back in the film days many years ago. I actually have a Pentax (not Pentax brand - Kenko or something) AF extension tube but I have never used it.
