Bees wings are super fast!

I was taking some shots of the flowers when I noticed a bee doing its thing and buzzing around. I decided to try to catch a shot of it in flight. The A7RV on insect recognition was sorta managing to track it as it moved. Things improved massively when the bee landed :D

Yes bumblebees seem to flap their wings even faster than honey bees.
 
Do they do that due to the extra bulk they carry around?
