Ok so where the heck are all you guys?

but every time I think about the thousands and thousands of images I have in negs and transparencies have taken in the some 30 years before switching to digital capture, I never get started.
Yes, I know! You just have to bite the bullet, as they say and get stuck in...

I'm just really busy at the moment. New puppy and building work going on at home. I did take my camera up to our local owl hotspot the other night, I ended up taking the mutts for a stroll though, it was such a gorgeous evening.

I retired early and like many others have been surprised at the rather few hours available in a day.

I've been travelling on business for most of April

And here was I thinking that you were having a fabulous holiday in USA!

You certainly made the best of your spare time: beautiful pics!

Many thanks Thad. I carried my camera everywhere, including to meetings. So I used every spare second as a photo opportunity.

Ok so bringing this thread back up , same question where the heck is everyone, this place is dead, please post excuses. Anyone seen Tim Mayo he must be mia somewhere. Thanks guys (y)

I was made redundant end of May, but despite only just joining here the missus is doing her very best to keep me busy whilst at home :( I never want to see another tin of paint!

I have a shed load of images to edit from NYC in May.....
bring them on mate

I log in here to escape the drudgery of my day job, but I still don't make enough time for editing.
Actually, been shooting JPG+RAW so I can simply use the JPGs more often without needing to edit.

Yep Chris 2,500 raw files from last cruise to edit, jpeg does look tempting sometimes (y)

I hope you find a new job soon! You don't fancy getting into painting and decorating then? :)

I guess everyone is just busy or visiting other forums :) It doesn't hurt to take time off although I'm still checking in daily for admin stuff. Otherwise I've not been shooting much lately. I have been busy with launching an e-commerce store memorywolf.com which focuses on selling memory cards in the UK. Early days there though and I'm still working on building up the brands I stock, hopefully I'll be able to offer some deals to members here soon. We also started work on building a secure dog field this week on the family farm, so that's going to keep me busy for the next month and probably for the rest of the year to make sure it gets off to a good start. It's a good opportunity for taking lots of dog photos! 🐶🐩:) I might drop a post on that project in the Non Photo Talk Forum soon.

Ta! I am looking, but its bloody hard when you are 52 and had been in the same company since leaving school!

Not quite near enough to last out until I can pull my pension.....
Sorry to hear that. It is tough when you are close, but not close enough, to retirement age. Ever thought of setting up your own business?

Still here, keep checking in now and then but due to lack of free time no mojo to have camera in hand when out and about.

Just haven't found a solution to walk the two dogs and take the camera with me safely when I am out and about.

Any way, off to Perugia in just over a week and a half so I should have some travel to motivate me to get the camera out!

Has anyone heard from Gaz recently? He has been quiet for many months now. Hope all is good with him.

I’ve been around. A bit…

I try to post some here and there, i've been a member a little over a year now since i bought my camera, and i reckon the activity has gone a little down here. Especially it's two or three people that used to be very active thats missing.

Other than that i try to get out with my camera here and there, but life with house, two small kids and work sometimes put an end to that

I'm currently looking for a kingfisher which have moved to a nearby river, but thoose guys are not easy to take good pictures of.

Good to hear from you Loke, I’m looking forward to your shots of the Kingfisher.

Still around, but as the Brits will know, the summer so far has sucked, weather wise.

I'm still about with my camera, but they tend to be snaps really. Local interest stuff.

These were from a local open air theatre at the weekend.

I didn't really consider them good / exciting / interesting enough to post.

Then on the same day, we had a stroll around a Humber car rally. I was quite dissapointed with my shots, so again, didn't bother to post.

Then we tootled off to Caister Castle car collection. On arrival, the shock of the £24 entry fee (each), I was admitted to the local St. John's Ambulance hut. Fortunately, Rosalynd's magnificent bossom comforted me sufficiently to resume cardiac activity, no photographs, however. We decided to amble up to Cromer for fish and chips, all was well until I paid the bill, forty-two quid for fish and chips..... Rosalynd!!!!!!!!!!

Now off to Cromer again, with the beast (600, f4) to try and get some snaps of the Peregrines. Wish me luck.

You Brits say that about every summer, don't you?

And those would want to be bloody good fish and chips! Gold dust sprinkles on?

Ain't gonna find anything cheap up north norfolk, I'm sure you don't need telling :) My missus is from Holt so know just how much a visit to family can cost....

I keep trying to motivate myself to go get some minimalist shots of those groynes on caister beach
We refer to it as the "Holt tax".

The last 3 or 4 summers here have been milder than normal on average but that's probably a good thing. We had a very warm, dry autumn here but halfway through winter now it's been pretty typical. The biggest problem here is the weather forecasting is hopeless so it's hard to plan anything ahead because the weather is likely to be the complete opposite to what they tell you.

About. Busy, ill, work, shite weather. Been out once in 2 weeks...

After a couple of weeks of having to work in single digit temperatures, combined with very wet weather, I've been much more inclined to stay warm and dry inside than get out with my camera.

You mean in British Summer temps 😆😆

I suffer with a bad back (4 operations) bad shoulders (6 operations) bad knees (7 0peration one being a total replacement which never worked) broken left wrist (5 times) and arthritis (full Body).
So a lot of the time these all kick in together and I struggle to just to go to the toilet. So keeping a laptop and concentrating on photo just isn't that important to me.
But there are time went I can manage my laptop I might try to edit photos but as I mentioned I lose what I am supposed to be doing.
This is my main reason why I am on and off again.
I am sorry if this isn't a good enough reason just try to hit your hand with a sledge hammer and then do photo's.

Keep battling Ralph.

The last month and a half have not been the best, busy with stuff, then busy with being ill, went from conjunctivitis to Covid. Finally seem to out of the woods and itching to get out and shoot.
