Birds Indian Peafowl

I have always known these a Peacocks but going by the internet their name is as up in the title. So I will go with that.
I went to a local wetland and seen a blue piece of paper but it turned into this large bird.
Never seen one there before so it had to have come from a property nearby.

My general understanding is that the male is called peacock and the female is called peahen. Collectively they are peafowl.

This splendid fellow is a peacock.

I'm sure that they must be the most fabulously beautiful bird in the world, but they do not get the credit as they are too easy to see, both in captivity worldwide and even in the wild. I'm a city boy: don't expect to see one in the garden here, but more rural folk in this country do.

On this I only went with what was on the internet and nothing more. I know them as Peacocks myself. But it had them as titled.
So I didn't want to get it wrong.
