I managed to get away for a couple of hours this afternoon to Port Willunga where I posted a couple of photos in this thread a few weeks ago:

Conditions were slightly different. I went with the intention of taking some long exposures with the water washing between the remains of the old jetty. Unfortunately, the tide was a lot higher than I had hoped which left me perched on some craggy rocks with the water almost washing at my feet. It was very windy and stormy and some of the waves were much bigger than they appear in the photos. A few firsts here also. First time using my little Lowepro Sling bag. First time really using my Ulanzi travel tripod in anger. And first time using my Maven magnetic ND filters (I have used them for video though).

Looks pretty good, what stop filter did you need for 30 second exposure?
also I LOL'd at "First time really using my Ulanzi travel tripod in anger." I guess that's one way to tell if you actually like the tripod.

Thanks. I had 11 stops of ND. A 6, a 3 & a 2. There was slight vignetting at 24mm with the three filters but I used Gen Fill in Photoshop to get rid of that pretty easily. I was pretty happy with the tripod. First time I have used something that small & light. My biggest concern was the ball head but it was fine. I was also amazed that the camera could meter & focus with 11 stops of ND on.

You have done well and to see the last sections of the old days still standing shows they knew how to do things to last back them, well done.

Really mysterious and suggesting. I like 3&4 shots the most. That 30 seconds exposure created a great effect.

Beautiful.

I'm no fan of the usual milky-water ND thing, but here is used to just perfect effect. So perfect on hardly realises it is there!

Thanks guys...
