Don't discount Barcelona. It's a beautiful city. The market is an amazing photo opportunity worthy of a trip on It's own. Get there a day or two before the cruise if you can. From the airport to the city is an easy and economic train ride.

Great place Barcelona ... But beware of pick pockets

Flying in and boarding, same on departure. Chose this option as been to Barcelona before, all other destinations are new for me, basically done almost every part of the Mediterranean on four cruises. Been trying to find a cruise with all new destinations, think I’ll have to agree to the wife’s demands and move to newer destinations outside of the Mediterranean after this one 😂

Try visiting La spezzia by the sea: one of the amazing 'cinque terre' full of colours....

, We will back in Barcelona very shortly.

Cannes is fine as long as it not film festival time , all these should be on your list, not sure if they are doable from trains, or look out for when booking next a trip, Villa France is stunning, monte Carlo, and Monaco, Nice is worth a visit

The med has loads to offer I have done multiple cruises in the med off again very shortly, the issue is cruise ports, so you need different cruise lines that use different cruise ports and that give you options. you mention Genoa I have not been to that port before because the boss has a list of ships she likes the best and they tend to be 1 or 2 cruise lines that don`t cruise into that port. My number one city is on our next trip , Seville so looking forward to that visit again, but yes the med has many lovely places to offer. For sure but you have to do your research on what is near to where you are going, Naples is a place most cruise line use and I never go into Naples I head for the ferries and Sorrento, Capri, and other options

On our 4th cruise and 4th cruise liner so have been able to mix the ports up quite well. MSC sea view this time, done P&O, Caribbean and Princess so far 🫣😂

I guess Civitavecchia is difficult Rome being obvious choice, I have done Rome 5-6 time in 3 years and still not seen it all. leaving from Lisbon this time flying out early for time in Lisbon and again done that before and still have a list of need to do things (y)

Agree! I have some incredible images from Barcelona! La Boqueria is a fantastic place for lunch and images! The port cable car over the city offers amazing views...I could go on and on but you get the idea....

Well, some one on this cruise booked the 🌧️ and boy has it been ⛈️ … any way, slightly off topic, the ship’s photography has a new one on me.. IRIS photos, any one got experience of this, just curious as they look amazing!

Fingers crossed the weather improves for our next port 🛳️🫣😅⚡😂

Ohh, and one picture from our balcony to enjoy 😬

Weathers not been great, picture moments have been few and far between, sensors somehow got dirty and needs a clean (can’t do it until I’m home 🙊) hey ho, any way, here’s a couple of pictures of the ship!

4 cruises and this one’s been an experience! If it’s got water slides and a kids pool, must not book it 😂

Just out of curiosity, how does that behemoth handle rough conditions?

It looks incredibly top heavy and the height of those decks must make a hell of a sail.

We’re on deck 15 close to the rear, so the topmost bedrooms, two more floors above, both are pool and leisure space. We had a stormy trip across from Civitavecchia overnight and into the sea day, on the way to Palma and barely noticed it to be fair. It was equal to a gale on the Beaufort scale, rated 8. Remarkably stable to be fair.

In port next to us today, slightly higher by 12,000 tonnes, holds similar passengers though!
