I'm trying to work out what you have photographed here. Forgive me for asking - but is this a real image? It's not a massive composite, is it? I can't imagine this many birds flying at once without crashing into each other.

I'm trying to work out what you have photographed here. Forgive me for asking - but is this a real image? It's not a massive composite, is it? I can't imagine this many birds flying at once without crashing into each other.

This is a single shot with the 200-600 which compresses the birds but they are so thick you can't see through them. As you can see in "Give me a spot" all the birds on the ground and a few of the last ones to land after flight.

The birds on the ground are about 25% of what was there.
