My kids gave me a Smart Bird Feeder for my birthday and one of my favorite features is that it notifies me when a bird arrives. I can then get photos with my A7RV both on the feeder and sometimes they will perch nearby after leaving the feeder. Here are a few shots from yesterday.

I haven't had a lot of Eastern Bluebirds visit my other feeders but they really like this one. This one turned around as I came out the back door and paused just long enough for me to get a few shots.

Another bird I only see occasionally is the Red-Bellied Woodpecker. I've had them (possibly the same one) visit the feeder regularly over the past several days. His size makes it entertaining to watch on the feeder.

A few recent small bird photos.
The Cetti’s Warbler from RSPB Lodmoor (Weymouth) - always nice to get as they are easy to hear, difficult to see and very difficult to see them long enough and in the open to photograph. Fortunately, this one popped up a few metres from me onto a reed and posed nicely.
The Black Redstart is not that common in my area but they had been spotted in Portland Harbour. I spotted this one on the rocks but it few off. Fortunately, about 10 mins later it returned and I managed a few shots.
The Snow Bunting has been reported at Hamworthy beach for a couple of weeks and since I was in the area I thought I’d see if it was still around. It turned out to be one of the most accommodating birds I’ve ever photgraphed. It was easy to find as there were 6 photographers there and the bird was on the beach about 4 metres away and completely unconcerned by photographers, runners, dog walkers etc passing by. If it was always this easy!!
