Caught this little guy while I was shooting flowers in Oxleas Wood. I think its a Common Brimstone butterfly. I managed to get a reasonable shot of the little guy while in flight, hopping between the flowers. It was quite a bright afternoon and the butterfly cast a distinct shadow on the ground.

It is indeed a Brimstone. I also saw my first butterfly of the year yesterday, a Comma.
 
Nice catch Ed. I spotted my first of the year on the weekend as well, a small tortoiseshell.
