A few of the avian locals close to the playground my daughter likes to visit. Someone feeds these guys corn even though there are signs that say not to feed the wildlife. I plan to return with the 50-300 since they were a bit skittish when I approached... and those geese are aggressive!

Correct me if I'm wrong on the IDs...
The obvious geese are Sebastopol Geese
The red head with a face only mama could love is a Muscovy Duck
Gold eye with dark circle around the eye is an Egyptian Goose
Last pair are Black-Bellied Whistlers

Nice shots Chris. I'll have to take your word on the IDs :) We have some embden geese on the farm, they are nasty buggers if you get too close.

That first set of geese, there is a whole flock of them, several of them hissed at my daughter and I when we approached to take their photos. I warned my little one to stay back! The Muscovy were as tame as lapdogs, I probably could have hand-fed them. The whistlers were skittish, but I only now realize that some people hunt them, so their caution is warranted.
