This is taken from Flagstaff AZ. In the Northern part of the town is a very popular dark park called Buffalo Park. Beautiful place in the day and popular for night photography.
The western side of Longs peak (Longs, Pagota and Chief's Head) were gently lit up by a waxing 30% moon under the night sky. I hike 5 miles at midnight in RMNP to take this picture. I had hoped to catch the Milky Way but with no success. Hiking alone at midnight is a little creepy (bears).
On May 26th there was a full moon accompanied with an eclipse at about 5:15am. The Moon had just come out of from behind a cloud and had settled into a slight haze on the horizon about 5:00am, just moments before the total eclipse.
