I haven't used any other lens since I bought it. Goodbye 50mm f1.8 and 28-60mm kit lens.
40mm is about perfect (at least for portraits, street and travel). Light, unintrusive, great build, and the images not only look great and sharp, they have some unique character to them as well.
Also just yesterday I was comparing the pictures I took with the 40mm and the ones I took with the smartphone of the same place (usually a quick fix for my Instagram stories) and I noticed how pleasingly natural the 40mm looked, and how artificially enhanced and distorted the smartphone ones instead. But it's the look that everyone is accustomed now.
Anyway, happy to hear someone else is enjoying this great lens!
