A 2 and a bit foot of Goanna

I was with a friend who spotted this one and for the life of me I couldn't see it until I got out of the car.
As what it did look like was a shadow. I will admit to the fact that before going out to this Hattah/Nowingi area I hope to get a shot of one
When I got out my mate said watch out it might run off. I didn't think it would as we were so close already and it would have taken of by now.
But I got the main shots I wanted then it did take off running.
