Sony A5xxx A5100 Audio

Trying to use a5100 for streaming via HDMI or as webcam.
It seems I'm only getting video, no audio.
Do I need an external microphone and a combining solution?

I've never tried it myself, but there is a guide to using the camera for that purpose on YouTube here:
