A9 video issue

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to use my A9 for some product videos—very simple webcam stuff, not why I bought an A9 but I think it ought to be able to handle it. However, even in Movie Mode, our monitor includes the black strip of camera settings along the bottom of the screen no matter what I do with the display button. What am I doing wrong? When I simply play back the video on the computer it shows the normal view. Back to hooked up as a webcam and the strip is there again.

Not sure I know what you're trying to do from your description. If using cabling, describe the cable config. Are you using a capture card? Did you check user guide under movies to see the proper Menu cam2 settings for video?

Thanks for the reply. In the meantime we finally figured out how to configure the camera correctly!

Glad to hear it Jonathan, you have a good camera there. Just remember, when doing video panning, move the camera slowly so the AF tracking can keep up and less rolling shutter. Good luck.
