Anyone using a 135mm lens for anything other than portraits and how do you find it streetphotography/sport/wildlife

I recently acquired the Sony 135 GM. I just went to a local park last weekend to try a few shots. I have the results on my Flickr Page if you would like to see them. I would like to have been closer to most of the subjects but I didn't want to be seen as a Stalker.

One a couple of the photos, I wrote a description which appears just below the photo. If you are a "Pixel Peeper", Flickr is more than happy to oblige. Just click the photos two or three times to zoom in. I do love Flickr.

Thanks ,Jeff appreciated will go have a look 👌

I have the Sony 135 GM, and I have used it at the zoo, and photographing birds (nice close birds, I admit).

I have some good shots of a snow leopard rolling on his back, and of a group of lions lolling at leisure. Beautifully sharp images. Even managed to get some seagulls in flight.

I use this on my a1 for wildlife with great results. It's got lightning fast focus (bird and animal eye AF works like a dream). I often use APS-C crop mode to turn this into a 200mm 1.8 and it is simply wonderful. One of the sharpest lenses I own (which includes my 50/1.2 and 400/2.8 GM lenses). It's also a killer lens for "pet" portraits . . . my cats and dogs are often the closest to "wildlife" that I get during this Covid-19 era. ;0)

Oh, and I spoke to a sports shooter and he said he uses a 135mm shooting indoor sports in bad lighting - he was shooting Nikon, but if he was shooting Sony I think he’d have the 135 GM.
