Theme
For this month the theme is reflections. If you need some help with inspiration then head over to our Reflections Challenge Thread.

Competition Dates
Entries start: The date that this post is published.
Entries end: August 20th at 3am Eastern Time (9am GMT)
Voting starts: August 20th at 3am Eastern Time (9am GMT)
Voting ends: August 27th at 3am Eastern Time (9am GMT)

Shot Taken Date
Only submit images taken during the current and previous two months. The metadata including date must be included in the uploaded image.

What Do I Get if I Win?
1st Place - The first place winner will receive a $30 (US dollar) voucher for Amazon.
2nd Place - The second place winner will receive a $20 (US dollar) voucher for Amazon.
3rd Place - The joy of taking part.

There are no alternative prize or cash options, so if you are unable to accept an Amazon voucher I'm afraid you will miss out on the prize. If your local currency is something other than US dollars then the above amounts will be converted based on the exchange rate at the time. In the event of a draw the prizes will be split.

How to Enter + Rules

1. Post your entries in this thread by scrolling down to the reply box then hitting the 'upload images' button. Insert image as full not thumbnail.
2. Sony cameras only.
3. Camera metadata must be included in the images to verify.
4. Only submit images taken in the current and previous two months) The date must be included in the image metadata.
5. Only one photo entry per member.
6. Keep the photos clean and family friendly.
7. Please don't use sky replacements or AI image generation.
8. You are free to change you image during the entry period.
9. Not essential but it would be nice if you added a little background information on your entry.

How to Vote (when voting opens)

1. Use the vote button (up arrow) to the right of the post (below post on mobile) to vote up images that you like
2. You can vote on as many images as you like apart from your own

Window Shopping - reflections in Skipton, Yorkshire. At first I just saw the woman moving quickly in contrast to the static mannequin, but when I uploaded the image to Photoshop I saw in the reflection that there was a lot more going on behind me!

A big thanks to everyone who entered and voted in this months competition. I think it's safe to say that it was a fairly decent turnout this month!

1st place with 13 votes was @twamers68 with an epic shot of an osprey in the Scottish Highlands.
2nd place with 7 votes was @WeeMalky with his beautiful shot of a damselfly. I'd guess it's an Emerald but I'm no expert.
3rd place with 5 votes was @BrianN with his a lovely shot of a local reservoir.

Well done everyone and thanks again for taking the time to enter.

September is just around the corner now and our competition will be kicking off on the 1st and this time the theme will be Close Up / Macro.
