I have noticed that there are so many different types of Pelicans in the world.
The all have the long beak with the pouch on that, but colours varied so much and I know I would love to see them all one day.
This Pelican wanted nothing to do with me and the camera and just kept on moving in the opposite direction.
The water had a lot of broken water plants floating on the surface but I still got my subject.

I have quite a disturbing memory of pelicans.

In Cuba, we saw fishermen catching one with a baited hook on a line.

They aren't very bright and it's mate then allowed itself to be caught in the same way.

I can't criticise the fishermen, putting protein on the table for a hungry family comes beyond all my sensitivities.

This is one thing I have not personally seen. And I don't ever think I want to. Thanks for looking.
