Gorgeously stripped down. Is the backdrop a card? I love these flowers and have not considered bare backdrop, or peeling them away to an essential stalk.

Thank you so much. The backdrop is a translucent glass that I use. It is backlit by LED bulbs whose color and intensity can be changed.

I have always shot flowers in their entirety but, for this project, the gallery wanted something that reflected an unconventional presentation. Thankfully it met their approval.

It’s certainly effective. I love how memory provides the whole picture, while the “subject” is exposed.
