Birds Barn Owl Hunting...

An educated guess (fairly bright, no wind) to head up to our reasonably local raptor hotspot yesterday paid off, though the light diminished quickly. This is one of 2 Barn Owls and 3 Short-Eared Owls that were hunting over the marshes, coming very close, as you can tell. I have to say that I am pretty pleased with these and how they cleaned up, given the high ISO I had no choice in using (even shots at 1/1250th were giving ISO8000). I think I will be returning to this spot a fair bit over Winter
