Bees wings are super fast!

I was taking some shots of the flowers when I noticed a bee doing its thing and buzzing around. I decided to try to catch a shot of it in flight. The A7RV on insect recognition was sorta managing to track it as it moved. Things improved massively when the bee landed

Yes bumblebees seem to flap their wings even faster than honey bees.

Do they do that due to the extra bulk they carry around?
