Birds forums

That sounds like a good idea to me!

I suspect that a general 'wildlife' forum would be dominated by birds so a separate birds forum would keep the non-bird wildlife from getting buried. I'd participate in both.

Some level of organization at the top might be helpful. Perhaps even two levels deep. Example "Bird Photography" could be fixed and then some meaningful sub levels. I just created a "Sea Birds" thread because I didn't know where else to post a particular pic.

gets my vote.....I mainly shoot birds in flight so would subscribe and participate to that and a general wildlife section, and as Doug pointed out above, non bird wildlife may get obscured by the sheer volume of posts with birds

Thanks for the suggestion everyone. I had considered this before but decided to keep it simple to get the ball rolling, but it looks like the wildlife forum is already pretty active since I posted about it in the FB Group.

So I've setup a birds sub-forum that you'll find at the time of the group. I did consider two sub-forums for birds in flight and not in flight but if I add a few additional sub-forums later it starts to get cluttered at the top. So we'll see how the single sub-forum does for now. I have created a birds in flight image thread starter and pinned this to the top, but feel free to create your own threads as well.
